494 Gallery was located at 494 Broadway, New York City.

494 Gallery was a cooperative Gallery consisting of 15 women artists working in photographic media. The artists worked from a primarily personal perspective, using photographs, video and mixed media. Throughout the year, members of the collective exhibited their work as well as curated exhibitions around various themes.

Gallery members were: Ildiko Butler, Jane Cameron, Lynn Christoffers, Pam Dewey, Shari Diamond, Karen Furth, Karen Johnson, Honor Lassalle, Eustacia Marsales, Suzanne Nicholas, Susan Shiffman, JoAnne Seador, Fay Torresyap, Jill Waterman, and Yardena Yourner.
